Fall is one of my favorite times of year to photograph. There usually is vibrant colors and a crispness in the air. Helps one to recharge their batteries. One of the top parks around is Petit Jean State Park around a 4 hour drive from Memphis and located Northwest of Little Rock. Lot’s of hiking trails, streams a waterfall and varying elevations.
Recently I had a business trip to Little Rock, and stopped by the Clinton Library to capture the following photograph.
Then traveled over to Petit Jean for the night, and arose early to capture this sunrise photograph at the Petit Jean Gravesite.
A different spot high atop Petit Jean Gravesite where I got down on some rocks to photograph this shot of the tree and valley.
Sometimes you look for reflection shots, although the water was the lowest the park ranger had seen in 15 years, I captured this photograph in a small body of water. Kind of looks like a painting.
It was a very windy day when I captured this photograph of a young couple on the ledge overlooking the fall colors below. Rather brave of them.
Where are some of your favorite places to photograph fall colors?
